2024 Bartender Competition

 

The #JustAddRHUBI Bartender Competition is back for its second year, and this time around we're partnering up with the power duo at Mix Haus and are focusing on the female and non-binary talent in the industry. Calling all you legends from across Australia, we want to see how you incorporate RHUBI into your delicious cocktails! 

How?

  • Create a bespoke cocktail using RHUBI as the main ingredient (30ml or more).
  • Post a photo of the drink on either your personal or represented venue’s Instagram page.
  • Ensure to tag BOTH @rhubimistelle and @mixhaus.au.
  • Offer the cocktail in venue (no criteria on the number of days/weeks it’s live).
  • IMPORTANT - in order to officially enter the comp you need to fill in all the required details in the online submission sheet found here.

What happens next?

Our team will review each submission and judge all entries on paper. Four finalists will be contacted and flown into Sydney to partake in a bar takeover/IRL bartender comp, hosted by Mix Haus. Each of the 4 finalists will receive a case of RHUBI and some merch, flights to Sydney and an overnight stay. The winner of the competition will receive $1,000 cash and the bragging rights, as well as inclusion in the post-competition PR and marketing campaign.

Important details

Entries open to all of Australia
Registrations open - first week of September
Competition running - until October 31
Finalists picked - first week of November
Event date and location: Monday 25 November at Centro 86, Sydney NSW 

Judging criteria

Entries are judged based on:

  • Has RHUBI been showcased as the star of the cocktail (30ml or more)?

  • Did the entrant post the drink on their personal social media account, alternatively on the account of the bar they represent - tagging both @rhubimistelle and @mixhaus.au?

  • Did the venue promote the drink at some point during the campaign period (5 Sep - 31 Oct)? 

  • What was the inspiration behind the drink?

  • Does the drink's composition from the recipe appear to be balanced? 

  • Is the method demonstrating a proper cocktail technique?

  • Does the photo of the drink visually sell the cocktail?
