Meet RHUBI
Sown in France, grown in Australia
"These seeds that she is generously sowing are the countless ideas that one day may sprout and grow, when we are no longer here." La Liberté, 8 October 1898
From little things, big things grow. That's us. Inspired to create, RHUBI takes inspiration from the past and forges a new way to make and drink apéritifs.
A traditional French category, turned on its head with good old fashioned Australian irreverence. A new Mistelle.
This French apéritif is traditionally made from grapes, pears or apples by pairing a fermented fruit wine with a spirit made of the same ingredient.
Inspired to make a Mistelle with a contemporary twist, RHUBI is crafted in Victoria from fresh rhubarb (not concentrate), pairing rhubarb juice with juniper, French gentian, and rounded out with aromatic mandarin and bitter citrus for a complex botanical finish.
Standing proud as a tall Aussie poppy, RHUBI is made in Australia, however reverence towards Mistelle's origins in France is inherent in RHUBI's story. Our original and distinctive bottle panes are inspired by the shutter windows of Claude Monet's residence in Mistelle's spiritual home, Normandy.
Our cap features a representation of a French national icon, La Semeuse. The heroic female figure is a symbol of freedom and the "sower of new ideas".

Aperitivo culture - the Aussie way
Aperitivo is a beloved southern European tradition—a pre-meal ritual meant to stimulate the appetite and ease into the evening with good company, light drinks, and small bites.
Since the launch in 2021, RHUBI has been a proud contributor to the rise of Australian aperitifs, promoting a new style of Australian drinking inspired by southern European aperitivo hour.
RHUBI is at the frontier of the low ABV zeitgeist with the renaissance of apéritifs.
It’s flavourful without the additional sugar or alcohol found with other aperitifs on the market.
A flavour profile that’s intentionally instantly delicious, approachable and captivatingly unique.
